Watch Out Germany! The Lords Wrath is Coming!

by on Mar.17, 2011, under Sports

The wrath of God is usually reserved for sinners, heathens & communists.  That is, until he decided to open a can of whoop ass on Japan in a somewhat belated response to the attack on Pearl Harbor.  New York Liberty player Cappy Pondexter tweeted:

“What if God was tired of the way they treated their own people in there own country! Idk guys he makes no mistakes.”

She was kind enough to follow that up with the clarifying tweet:

“u just never knw! They did pearl harbor so u can’t expect anything less.”

She seems like a nice lady, especially when she referred to the Japanese as “Japs”.  She did issue an apology of sorts later, although I find it hard to believe she is sorry when she uses the phrase “I didn’t realize that my words could be interpreted in the manner which they were”. Seriously?  In what way should we have interpreted them Cappy? The scary thing is she could be right, and that leaves us all open for large amounts of wrath.  Snark, Critic & Pop’s own Daniel Roos is not only part cowardly Swede, he is “Dutch Irish” – or German as we now call it.  Although the Parole board of Springfield is of the belief that “Noone who speaks German could be an evil man”, there are those who disagree and being that the sins of the father are being visited upon the son he better watch out.  I myself am in a bit of a pickle being Jewish and of Russian descent, but the philosophical questions raised here are mind boggling.  Yes, I should have to pay the piper being descended from Russians who were responsible for the pogroms, but they were targeting the Jews so maybe I am safe.  Or maybe he will get me for Russians being commies.  Tune in tomorrow to see who lives and who dies here at Snark, Critic & Pop!

I expect so much more from the WNBA. I’m not sure why.

I expect as much out of the WNBA as I do out of proffesional cycling which is a reminder to turn off the TV and get outside and enjoy the day.
