Snark, Critic and Pop!

Yes, it’s true. If you have enough money, anyone can get their own music video. Abe Vigoda, it’s not too late for you to be a pop sensation.

Folks gave tween popper Rebecca Black some flack for her annoying, lyrically retarded “hit” Friday. Don’t think about the song, or it might infest your brain! (Kickin’ in the front seat, Sittin’ in the back seat, Gotta make my mind up, Which seat can I take? Friday, Friday . . . d’oh!)  But I’m going to go out on a limb and say the below music video is far, faaaaaaaaaar more offensive to the human ear and human dignity in general.

Rebecca Black was at least singing, studio help or not. This is from a middle-aged woman named Countess LuAnn de Lesseps. Countess Chocula doesn’t even try to sing. She just sort of talks through the song, looking very pleased with herself for reasons I cannot ascertain. I’ve never heard from her, but it appears she’s a reality star from Real Housewives of Des Moines, or some such thing. I implore you, do not watch her hit single, “Chic, C’est la Vie”:

After that, Rebecca Black’s “Friday” is almost a pallette cleanser. Let’s all enjoy, shall we?
