Colon Blow 2012: Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza from Pizza Hut UK!
by Brian Alterman on Apr.11, 2012, under News
It seems that the 21st cetury arms race of gluttony is heating up. Pizza Hut UK is offering the new hot dog stuffed pizza to go along with other classics such as “foot long pasta dish”. Don’t worry, they also offer all you can eat greasy salad. They even offer a happy hour, although I can’t imagine spending a happy hour at Pizza Hut (or a happy half hour for that matter).
Please dear reader, spread the word. If people don’t know about this the Brits could soon be as fat and diabetes ridden as us, and then where would we be (aside from fat and diabeted ridden)? Just kidding, until they get the bacon milkshake they are not even in our league!
He Had No Choice, He Was Called to Duty
by Brian Alterman on Oct.06, 2011, under News

A 46 year old man tracked down and choked a 13 year old boy after he had killed the man in Call of Duty: Black Ops and taunted him about it. After going to the boys house, Mark Bradford choked him with both hands and left him with a scratch. Bradford was arrested, admitted assault and will be sentenced on October 24th. He seems a rather sympathetic character, and I hope he gets off on this one:
“I’d been playing the whole day and he was baiting me and just would not shut up. I just lost it. In a moment of madness I went round to the house. I didn’t know what I was going to do. It wasn’t malice. I just grabbed him. I’ve seen him since and apologised. The injuries weren’t that bad but I do regret it.”
Ray Harryhausen Donates Works to the National Media Museum
by Brian Alterman on May.20, 2011, under News
Special effects legend Ray Harryhausen, the master behind such classics as Jason and the Argonauts, The Golden Voyage of Sinbad and Clash of the Titans (among many others) has donated his collection of models, sketches and other memorabilia to England’s National Media Museum in Bradford. Over 20,000 items which Harryhausen collected during his career have been donated, and the museum is starting to put them on display making me wish I lived in Bradford or even knew where it was. Not to get all nostalgic, but growing up these movies were among my favorites, and were shown Saturday afternoons after cartoons were over and the obligatory Abbott and Costello movie. While special effects have come a long way with 3D and computer animation, stop motion is still fun to watch, and these films are just as entertaining to watch as they ever were, although I now have to watch them on AMC and TCM. Images from the exhibit can be seen here. (continue reading…)
Gary Linekar Pooped Himself – Probably After Watching Englands Performance in the World Cup
by Brian Alterman on Dec.26, 2010, under Sports
Have you seen this man? If so I hope you didn’t let him anywhere near your furniture or white carpets… This is Gary Linekar, former member of the English national soccer team, the teams all time goal scoring leader, and perpetrator of the most watched live poo ever. Yes, Gary pooped during a World Cup match against Ireland that was being broadcast live around the world. One he happened to be playing in at the time. On the field. As he says, “Luckily it was raining that day”. Yes, and luckily he had a nice grassy field to drag his ass along like a dog does. Seriously… this is more than just a shart. He gambled and lost. Now I would expect this kind of behavior from legendary Brazilian coach Dunga, or Brazilian star player Kaka, but Gary Linekar? Well, honestly I never heard of him before reading this so I don’t know what to expect from him. Part of the beauty of being American is that you have no hopes of winning the world cup, so when your team fails to win it is what is expected. In England there is hope for some reason and these guys are huge. It’s the kind of hope that fills the hearts of Cubs fans (continue reading…)
