Could It Be? Mega Shark 3?
by Daniel Roos on Nov.27, 2011, under Only on the Internet
A entrepreneurial fan has created a petition for the Asylum Studio to create a THIRD Mega Shark movie. I signed! But I will point out he did it only a few months after our online survey to cast the third opponent for Mega Shark on the main page.
Mega Shark vs. Celebrity Apprentice
by Daniel Roos on Oct.14, 2011, under News
Seven names have been announced for Celebrity Apprentice, once again stretching the boundaries of what is considered a celebrity. Without ever watching for more than three minutes, I love this show. Why? For a few reasons, not the least of which is distracting Donald Trump long enough for there to be a Presidential race without his knowledge. Now, our favorite 80s pop sensation, Debbie Gibson, whose career got a shot in the arm with my favorite b-movie, Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, is going back to primetime, network television. (I assume she was once on primetime, network television for some reason at some point during her prime). If that’s not enough to get you on the Gibson bandwagon, she sang the national anthem at Wrigley Field!
The names released are: Clay Aiken (American Idol loser), Debbie Gibson (!!!), Adam Carolla (The Man Show), Arsenio Hall (Hoot! Hoot!), Cheryl Tiegs (who?), Dee Snider (I’m Not Going To Take Dee Snider Any More), and George Takei (Sulu!).

No, not when I bought Howling IV: The Original Nightmare, Kraken, Tentacles of the Deep, Night Shadow, and Raging Sharks in one collection for $5.
This is way, way cooler.
At Target for $17.99 – Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, Mega Piranha, and 30,000 Leagues Under the Sea (starring Lorenzo Lamas) all on Blu Ray.
Today, I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the Earth. (continue reading…)
Photos of Mega Shark Vs. Crocosaurus Are Online!
by Daniel Roos on Sep.18, 2010, under Movies
Check ‘em out at the Asylum’s web-site here. No monsters or monster fight pics yet, but plenty with its star Jaleel White (alias “Urkel”) and the doctor from Star Trek: Voyager. I know the movie isn’t out until December 21st, but I’ve decided to go ahead and officially declare Mega Shark Vs. Crocosaurus my favorite movie of all-time.
STOP THE PRESSES! URKEL stars in MEGA SHARK VS. CROCOSAURUS
by Daniel Roos on Aug.24, 2010, under Movies, News
The Asylum announced today on their web-site that they will be producing a long-awaited sequel to mega hit Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, starring none other than Jaleel “Urkel” White! It’s called MEGA SHARK VS. CROCOSAURUS, and it’s going to be released on DVD December 21st (the day before my birthday — I know what I want!).
People have long debated when exactly the popular sitcom Family Matters (featuring White as nerd Urkel) jumped the shark. Was it the first episode, the second, the opening credits, etc. But now we may literally see Urkel jump not just a shark, but a MEGA SHARK. All this on the day Titanic 2 is released on DVD. Is it a great day to be an American or what?
(We attempted to reach Giant Octopus for a comment regarded the snub, but neither he nor his agent returned our calls before press time.)
