One of my favorite bands going is an electronic rock outfit named, Mute Math.
‘Twas a fan of Mute Math dating back to the days when half the crew was in a band called Earthsuit. From the ashes of relatively obscure, one album wonder Earthsuit, Mute Math arose with frenetic energy and some genuine success. They’ve appeared on numerous late night shows from Letterman to Conan to Craig Ferguson to Jimmy Kimmel, where they famously performed a backwords version of their breakout song “Typical” (sadly not on youtube that I could find other than sans sound, due to rights claims). Mute Math is known for some high energy songs and high energy performances, and if you want some of front man Paul Meany’s work you’d think he slammed five cases of 5 hour energy and a gallon of Red Bull prior to each show.

Sorry, Conan, it’s just life is too short to spend an hour a day watching a silly talk show. But, if I were to spend an hour a day watching a silly talk show, that hour would be wasted on your silly talk show, Conan!
In the meantime, enjoy the teaser ads that TBS has put out: (continue reading…)
